Hello. I'm Manja. I work on the meeting ground of language and visual culture — a space that feels natural to me, having spent years in the creative industry alongside designers, photographers, makers and studios.

As a freelance communications person, I work with independent design studios and artists that produce high-quality work but don’t have the capacity for a full in-house comms team. That’s where I come in: writing, editing, shaping — and thinking with a visual mindset.

I’m not just about words. I’m also an image maker and editor, fluent in Photoshop, and used to moving fluidly between visuals and copy. That makes me a natural fit for art and design-driven environments, where tone, rhythm and visual logic and storytelling all matter equally.

Over the years, I’ve done everything from websites and press releases to social content, newsletters, exhibition blurbs and grant applications — especially loving the projects launched at Milan Design Week and Dutch Design Week.

I help creative teams tell their story clearly, compellingly, in a voice that fits the singular work.
